Our Approach to Design & Innovation

We believe great products should feel inevitable — as if they couldn’t have been built any other way. Simplicity isn’t the absence of complexity; it’s the mastery of it. Every decision, from code structure to color contrast, is an act of design.

At Them Rhinos, design and engineering move together. We iterate fast, test harder, and obsess over the little moments that most people overlook. If a button feels just a bit too slow, or a transition flickers for half a frame, we notice — and we fix it.

Our focus is on building tools that respect attention, spark curiosity, and endure. Innovation isn’t just about doing something new — it’s about doing something right, with care and precision.

We aim for products that stand out because they work beautifully, not because they shout the loudest. From minimalist interfaces to deeply considered interactions, our goal is to make every click, swipe, and glance feel purposeful.

(And yes, sometimes we break things on purpose — because progress occasionally requires a small stampede.)

About Ryan

Ryan Cummins is the founder and lead engineer behind Them Rhinos. He designs and builds systems that combine strong engineering with thoughtful design — from automotive diagnostics to productivity tools and beyond.

Ryan believes the best products disappear into daily life. They feel natural, reliable, and precise — the kind of tools you reach for instinctively. His work reflects a simple principle: technology should amplify focus, not fight it.

With a background in mobile development and working with hardware, he moves easily between iOS, Android, and device integration — building platforms that connect physical and digital experiences seamlessly. He’s also known for an unusual dedication to clarity — both in code and in product design.

When not engineering, you’ll probably find him sketching new interfaces, soldering prototypes, or trying to make a Scompasaurus run on time.
